The Town of Hiram is now hiring for a part-time Code Enforcement Officer.  This is a part-time position (10-12 hours per week average) with flexible scheduling.

Applicants must be self-motivated, detail oriented, be able to interpret local zoning ordinances and apply ordinance requirements to real world situations.

Candidates should have basic computer skills and be able to draft letters and work with spreadsheets.

Duties will include and are not limited to issuing permits, performing site inspections, enforcing state and municipal ordinances, and maintaining accurate records.

Candidates must commit to getting certified and pass the certification exams in required disciplines; plumbing, subsurface waste disposal, building, shoreland, etc... if not already certified, within one year of employment.

This position will remain open until a suitable candidate can be hired.
