Public Works Truck Driver/Laborer/Equipment Operator

The Town of New Gloucester, Maine, Public Works Department, is accepting applications for a full-time Truck Driver/Laborer/Equipment Operator. This position’s major responsibility will include operation of a two axle dump/plow truck, heavy equipment and job related laborer activities. Experience with snow removal and a Class B CDL is preferred and we are willing to train.

Truck Driver/Laborers/Equipment Operators report to the Public Works Director and are responsible for performing road and some grounds maintenance, snow plowing/salting/sanding, and related public works duties. Applicants must possess a valid commercial driver’s license and have experience in public works operations or a related field. Applicants must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment physical and a CDL Drug Screen.
