The Town of Oxford is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of full-time Code Enforcement Officer/Licensed Plumbing Inspector (LPI). This position is responsible for conducting plumbing and building inspections, as well as enforcing all local codes and land use regulations. The Code Enforcement Officer must be able to interact professionally with the public to ensure compliance.

The Code Enforcement Officer is expected to carry out their responsibilities with initiative, independence, and confidentiality while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and professional judgment. Applicants must be certified as a Code Enforcement Officer/LPI.  This position also serves as the town’s Health Officer.

In addition to the required state certifications, the candidate must possess a valid State of Maine driver’s license with a good driving record. The candidate must also have excellent record-keeping skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position, and pay is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
