The Town of West Paris is looking for an animal loving individual to protect and advocate for animals. This is a stipend, emergency on-call ACO (Animal Control Officer) and this position works mostly independently.

Responsibilities Include: Enforcement of all laws and town ordinances, related to dogs, cats and other domesticated animals within the Town of West Paris.

Education and Experience: A minimum of a High School diploma, one (1) year of experience in animal care and control preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Special Requirement Include: Animal Control Certification preferred but not necessary. Most obtain Animal Control Certification within six months of hire.
