Wells Sanitary District Full-Time Electrician

Wells Sanitary District is looking for an experienced Full-Time Electrician. The purpose of this position is to perform skilled work at the journeyman level and is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading existing electrical systems within a building or structure along with other general maintenance tasks at the District’s facility and pump stations. Responsibility will be to meet the needs of keeping the electrical infrastructure operational and current to applicable codes and other routine maintenance tasks where required. Strong electrical skills are a must. This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining pumps; maintaining sewer lines; dewatering sludge; performing inspections; preparing samples; performing laboratory analysis; installing capital equipment; and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent.

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical, maintenance, wastewater treatment, plumbing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Must possess appropriate driver’s license. Solid interpersonal skills required. Must be dependable, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.

Wells Sanitary District offers an excellent benefit package, and pay is commensurate with experience. The pay range is $38.00 per hour to $42.00 per hour. For consideration, please submit a cover letter, resume and three references to:
