City of Portland - American Rescue Plan Program Coordinator


Finance Department - The City is searching for an enthusiastic and energetic American Rescue Plan Program Coordinator who will assist in the management of the City of Portland’s $46M allocation of State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Responsibilities will include coordinating the public input process from residents, businesses, City staff and the City Council and assessing whether funding requests received are eligible in accordance with guidance from the US Treasury.  The coordinator will assist in the public communication and education process by keeping the City project web page and public facing materials up to date and will assist in preparation of the quarterly and annual reports on funding use.  The coordinator will review best practices and liaise with other municipalities and Cumberland County on funding use to ensure Portland’s allocation has the most wide reaching impact possible. The coordinator will be a key stakeholder as internal City staff recommendations are finalized and prioritized and reported to the City Council.  The City Council will make all final decisions on how funding is allocated.  Performs related work as required.  Requirements of Work:  Bachelor's degree or higher, including supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.  Knowledge of program population and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.  Administrative skills, including grant writing, recordkeeping, grant management, outcome measurement and quality assurance.  Experience with Microsoft Office and Google suite.  Experience with Munis a plus.  Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.  Experience and knowledge in working with individuals, families, businesses and target populations.  Ability to communicate effectively.  Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of criminal background check. 

Salary range is: $61,023 to $75,044 annually.
