Maintenance Department/Operations Worker

 

Responsibilities

The Augusta Civic Center is seeking a highly responsible, skilled individual with excellent customer service and supervisory skills to do full-time Maintenance and Operations work for our facility.  Responsibilities involve performing a variety of tasks including supervising a part-time crew in our operations department, equipment set up and tear down, for, truck and floor cleaner operations and general cleaning of surrounding areas, including outside grounds.

 

Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent an at least two years experience with general building maintenance.  Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions necessary to perform custodial work, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and the ability to work a non-standard workweek (nights and weekends) is required.  Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, primarily weekends, and 2nd or 3rd shifts.  Must have a valid State of Maine driver’s license.

 

Pay Scale

This is a full-time, non-exempt, union position with a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, a pension, and generous paid time off.

Pay Range CC: $16.78 to $22.27 per hour, depending on the skills and background of the candidate, plus differential pay when serving as crew leader.
