The City of Brewer, Maine is seeking an organized, motivated, and team focused individual for the position of Facilities Manager. This position performs a variety of general maintenance and repairs at the Joseph L. Ferris Community Center, as well as cleaning and disinfecting of all areas of the community center. As a member of the Brewer Parks and Recreation Department, the successful candidate will join a positive, dynamic workplace dedicated to providing superior recreational programs.
This position is directly responsible for ensuring the Community Center is well maintained, cleaned, organized, and ready or a variety of events, activities, and diverse public uses. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, as well occasionally supervising part-time employees and/or volunteers.
Experience with inventory control and purchasing is highly desirable. Knowledge of best practices and procedures for building maintenance and cleaning is desirable; however, the City of Brewer is willing to train the right candidate. The minimum qualifications for this position include, high school diploma, or GED equivalent, and State of Maine driver’s license.
This is a full-time 40 hour/week position, including a comprehensive benefit package with a sign on bonus of $2,500.
