Maine Public Employees Retirement System seeks a Pension Associate I to join the Pension Associate team.
Primary job duties include: researching, problem solving, calculating, and determining member benefits, eligibility, and compensation. Must have an attention to detail, enjoy investigating or problem solving, and strong analytical skills. This is the entry-level position in the Pension Associate Job Series (PAJS). You can progress through the PAJS by demonstrating proficiency within each series or step with an emphasis on employee development and performance evaluation. This helps provide an organized approach to advancement opportunities to ensure employees receive the attention and support they deserve.
Required Minimum qualifications: High school graduation plus four (4) years of responsible, self-directed work experience that demonstrates excellent customer service, research and analysis, computational, computer skills and the ability to work under limited supervision. - OR - Post-secondary degree and two years related work experience.
Benefits: Salary begins $37,544 annualized.
