The Maine Fire Chiefs’ Association is pleased to be able to host its annual Professional Development Conference at Sunday River Grand
Summit Resort Hotel & Conference Center, in Newry, Maine on August 25-27, 2021. After having to cancel both the March 2020 & March
2021 scheduled conferences due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Conference committee is pleased to be able to provide this in person
training and networking event for Fire Service professionals - once again! The Maine State Federation of Firefighters, Professional Firefighters
of Maine, Maine Fire Institute, Maine Fire Protection Services Commission, and the Maine Building Officials Inspectors Association will
be co-sponsoring the Professional Development Conference. The Joint Membership Meeting will take place Wednesday, August 25, 2021
at 3:15 p.m. at Sunday River - Ballroom 2, followed by the Maine Fire Chief of the Year award presentation and Meet & Greet social hour
in the exhibit area. Due to the timing of this year’s event, there will be an outdoor event Wednesday evening on the Moonstruck patio. The
main conference will take place on Thursday & Friday, August 26 and 27, 2021.

The Maine Fire Chiefs’ Association would again like to invite you to participate in our annual 2021 Professional Development Conference.
Our Conference has a long history of bringing together the region’s fire and rescue personnel, emergency managers, law enforcement officers
as well as municipal officials and providing a great venue for learning and the sharing of ideas as well as best practices.

Along with this years’ headline presentation, “Officer Development & Leadership”, we are offering educational programs on the “10 HR
Alarms for Fire Professionals” and “Remembering the Fallen – Non-Operational Lessons Learned”. Participants will be encouraged to ‘Stop
By’ the expanded vendor area to view and discuss with the vendors, new products/services that are available to fire/EMS responders.

Don’t forget to sign up for our signature event on Thursday evening, the “New England Barbeque,” at North Peak. This along with other
networking opportunities makes the MFCA’s Professional Development Conference at Sunday River, the premier Fire/EMS Conference
in the region.

We look forward to seeing you at the Conference!

Sincerely,
Chief Darrell White, President of Maine Fire Chiefs’ Association & Chief Thomas Higgins, Conference Chair
