At this session, experts from two leading governmental agencies that provide grant money will talk about the ins and outs of their processes and offer tips and guidance.

Program will include:

USDA Rural Development Loan & Grant Opportunities
USDA Rural Development provides a variety of loan and/or grant opportunities for community, economic, and business development. Funding is available, depending on the type of loan and/or grant, to municipalities, non-profit organizations, Native American Indian Tribes, small business enterprises and agricultural producers.

Examples of successful RD financial assistance requests throughout the State will be highlighted in this presentation to encourage discussion of the possibilities for your community. Application processes, timelines and staff contacts will be available.

USDA Overview of Housing and Business Programs

Community Development Block Grants

Funding is available to eligible units of general local government, namely towns, cities, plantations and, in certain instances, counties in Maine.
