The Town of Brunswick Public Works Department seeks exceptional candidates for the position of Operations Manager.

This critical and highly responsible position reports to the Public Works Director and the Deputy Director.  The incumbent is responsible for ensuring proper administration of a variety of public works operations. Plans, coordinates, and evaluates maintenance and operations activities related to streets, sidewalks, stormwater drainage systems, solid waste and recycling, and vehicles and equipment.  Shares after-hours response duties with Working Foremen for all departmental responsibilities related to emergencies, disasters, and weather.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and the ability to lead, manage, motivate, and direct the activities of the department’s personnel. Considerable knowledge of the materials, methods, and equipment used to carry out typical responsibilities of a public works department is a necessity. The preferred candidate will have at least five (5) years of increasingly responsible supervisory experience in a similar work environment.

The full salary range for this position is $74,626 – $96,928, and the starting salary will be negotiated DOE.  The Town of Brunswick offers an excellent benefit package including options for health, dental and/or life insurance, short-term disability, retirement plan choices, educational reimbursement, paid vacations, sick time and paid holidays.
