The Barron Center is owned and operated by the City of Portland and is Maine’s largest skilled nursing facility. We have an opportunity for an Office Associate to perform administrative work in addition to technical and record-keeping responsibilities. This position will be responsible to respond to medical records requests from outside agencies, and will maintain medical records in accordance with State and Federal guidelines. The Office Associate will also act as an IT liaison and will assist staff in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Requirements:
• High school diploma and two years of college study of secretarial science, IT or business subjects.
• Three to five years experience in office roles.
• Qualified candidates will have experience in medical records, basic IT hardware & networking skills.
• Experience handling multiple priorities and working with the general public
• Working knowledge of office procedures, practices, equipment and computer applications.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 9) - Starting pay range is $19.54 - $20.79/hr.
